Do you get pedicures week after week but still can't get rid of calluses and rough, unsightly skin? The solution has arrived.

While theRevlon Pedi Expert Pedicure Kit isn’t exactly a “kit”, and while you won’t actually get a “pedicure” in the way of a foot soak, massage and a fresh painting of nail polish (base and top coat included) with someone to offer to paint a flower on your big toe at the end, here is what you do get: a product that will undoubtedly slough off all traces of rough, ugly and unsightly skin from your heels, toes and even the balls of your feet. Additionally, this product is sold at most drugstores and retails for around ten dollars.

Doing the Same Thing Over and Over

Many of us seek out pedicures week after week without fail, hoping to rid ourselves and our feet of the tough and hardened skin which plagues the soles of women everywhere and worse, which never seems to go away. In fact, it almost becomes more severe. “Why” you ask after all of the time you spend getting pedicures does this menacing, almost hide-like skin persist? Perhaps it is because there has been no tool effective enough to do the job.

Gone But Not Forgotten

For one thing, nail salons are no longer able to use what once was considered the holy grail of pedicure tools: the credo blade. The tool was banned from salons, nail shops and the like over a decade ago due to the fact that they were considered highly unsanitary. Because of the fact that it was sharp enough to cause the customers’ feet to bleed if used incorrectly (and if used while too sharp) the blade was banned, leaving such establishments to resort to other techniques for rough skin removal, such as callus-removing serums and foot soaks, as well as the very common yet not so effective foot scrubber.

This product by Revlon designed to rid the feet of the horrid looking skin that surrounds your feet and is difficult to conceal (especially during the summer) is an excellent solution to such a problem. While much more attractive (with its raspberry pink color) and user friendly (with an egg like shape that fits nicely into the palm of your hand) than that of its cousin the credo blade, it is simple and easy to use.

Here is what to do:

  • Start with clean, dry feet.
  • Make sure your feet are free of any lotions or oils.
  • Begin with the rough side of the tool (the side that resembles that of a cheese grater)
  • Gently slough off unwanted skin in short, quick movements.
  • Apply the grater side to desired areas of feet.
  • When finished, repeat sloughing over all areas of your feet again, this time with the smoothing side (the side which resembles sand paper).
  • Repeat this process about once per week.

The sloughed skins are automatically deposited into the hollow area inside of the tool, which can easily be emptied and cleaned when you are finished.

To finish, apply a generous amount of your favorite cream or lotion (Nivea is an excellent option) to your feet, then don a pair of cotton socks to let lotion soak in. Your feet will look and feel silky smooth and ready for summer!
